It is 11:00 am on November 19, 2013 when the last picture was taken of this trip. I am adding a few pictures for our Korean Friends to show them where we live.
This will be the last post of this blog. We have enjoyed sharing our journey with anyone who followed it. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement.
As we close off this chapter of our lives we reflect on the goodness of God.
The day we left South Korea a plane crashed in Russia killing everyone aboard. The day we arrived at Chilliwack ( Branden's Home Town) a small plane crashed killing the pilot and closing the Number one highway for several hours along a section that we had just travelled. To as we left Chilliwack snow was forecasted and travel was not recommended. However we had a goal to get home and are grateful to God for all his kindness and mercy as we travelled very slippery roads.
Thank You to all our new Korean Friends. We will miss you and trust that God will continue to Bless You and the work of the gospel that you are involved in.
Now for a few pictures
We stayed in Chilliwack overnight and hit a rainy day as we left Branden and family behind.
As we started up the 1700 meter summit we started to see the first signs of snow.
At the summit the snow had already started its winter pile up.
Breaking over the summit the sky cleared and the road got better
Dropping down into the Okanagan Valley the road dried up and mad travel easier.
The bridge that crosses the lake is a sign we are close to home.
The city in the background with a few tall building but nothing like we saw in Korea.
Home sweet Home.

Often Mondays seem long but today Monday was really long.
We got up 8 am on Monday in Seoul. Spend another 10 hours in Seoul at the hotel and airport. Our flight was about 10 hours arriving here Monday morning at 11 am or so. We drove to Chilliwack to Branden's home and visited another 10 hours so by the time we get to bed it will still be Monday but we will have been up for some 30 hours.
Our flight was smooth, even had Kimchee and noodles in flight.
Mom and Sister were happy to Branden home again.
We will rest here tonight and try to drive over the mountains tomorrow. Winter is here and snow is covering the pass over the mountains.

It is Monday Nov 18 here in Seoul.
After a good rest at a hotel near the Incheon Airport ( Seoul's Main Airport) we had the day to get to the departure gate.
Took a noon shuttle, had lunch, checked our bags, went through Security, Customs and Immigration without a hitch.
Now preparing for the 10 hour flight back to Vancouver where we left our truck. (At a Hotel Parking Lot) Our flight leaves here at 5:45 PM (we hope ) arrives in Vancouver at 10:45 AM the same day.
At this time we are at the gate but the plane from Canada has not yet arrived????????????
Just a couple more short posts.

It was early this Sunday morning when the Kim Family picked us up at the hotel and took us for our final meal together before we boarded the Bullet Train from Busan travelling up the East Coast and then crossing the country towards the north west arriving in Seoul 2 hours and 39 minutes later having covered some 400 of so KMs. It was a quiet smooth ride reaching speeds of up to 304 KMs per hour. When we meet the oncoming trains it was just a blur.
We arrived at Seoul Station where we enjoyed a lunch at McDonalds.
We started sending our luggage a week ago to Seoul so we would not need to pack all our stuff to Busan.
At dinner time Seungchon Kim, one of the regular volunteers lives in Seoul so he took our bags as they were ready and brought them to the hotel this evening.
We went out for dinner together and enjoyed a last visit with new friends.
See the speed on the monitor
302 KM/Hour. The highest we saw was 304 KM per hour.

This is a video of the ride on the train. Next time I will hold the camera the other way and maybe it will make more sense. Bottom line it was a fast ride.

On Friday evening we arrived at Dandelion Community, see http://www.dandelionschool.net/default/menu_51/menu_82.php?submenu=82&menu=51

In a nut Shell Dr. In Soo Kim had a philosophy of living off the land as much as possible and has worked on a number of energy reducing projects.
Two MCC Salters work at this Community as well. There are about 45 staff and they house an Alternative School of 75 students from around Korea. It is a very interesting place to see there thinking worked out in real time and real life.
The Guest House at Dandelion village that we stayed at. Branden had a bed and Doreen and I spelt on the floor.
A view of the Dining room/ kitchen/ common area

JinJu market place meat handlers????
We arrived in Busan right after Bruce Dueck left, sorry we missed you but in a city of 3 million we may not have bumped into each other. We visited the Fish Market where every kind of fish is on display and ready for cooking.
Busan is a City under Construction with many new projects on the go. Bridges and Apartments going up everywhere
We took a long hike in a park to see the Ocean and a Lighthouse. Some folks took the trolley but we walked a hard mile or three.
333 feet above sea level the view was great but the picture does not do the view justice.
Fishermen down on the rocks casting for the evenings catch.
A Professor from the University in Busan was our host for dinner this evening. What a spread again.
The Kim Family have been our Gracious Hosts for two months. They have taken us to see much of Korea. They met us at the Airport in Seoul and we started seeing the country. First place was Chuncheon where we lived and spent most of our time. However we did get to the Peace Dam and The DMZ early in our time. Later we made several trips to Seoul to shop and get help for Branden's headaches. The headaches are not completely gone but he has had some better times during the last few weeks. Thank you all for your prayers. Then on one week end we visited a very famous Buddhist Temple and one Saturday we travelled over the mountains to the East Coast and a Park. We spent the final weekend on a family trip with everyone down south to Busan. They dropped us off at a hotel and we will connect for breakfast tomorrow and say our final good byes.
